Most of the cooling water contains calcium, magnesium ions and acid carbonate. Carbonate is produced when cooling water flows through the metal surface. In addition, the oxygen dissolved in the cooling water will also cause metal corrosion, the formation of rust. Due to the production of rust scale, the heat transfer effect of condenser decreases. Severe when the shell has to be sprayed with cooling water, when the scale is serious will clog the pipe, so that the heat transfer effect is out of action. The data of the study show that scale sediments have a great influence on the loss of heat transmission, which will lead to an increase in energy costs as the sediment increases. Even a thin layer of scale increases the operating costs of more than 40% of the scaling portion of the equipment. Keeping the cooling channel free of mineral sediments can improve efficiency, save energy, and extend the service life of the equipment, while saving production time and costs.
